Installation and acceptance of heat shrinkable cable accessories

Distribution cable and its accessories are an important part of transmission system, and their quality is related to the safe operation of power grid. Once the cable equipment failure, will cause a huge loss. Therefore, the installation and acceptance of the cable is very important.

1. When making cable terminals and joints, operate the cables continuously from the beginning to the completion, and shorten the exposure time of insulation. When peeling the cable, do not damage the cable core and the reserved insulation layer, and clean the wrapping, assembly, and shrinkage of the additional insulation.

2. Heat Shrinkable termination kit and heat shrinkable straight through joint should be insulated, sealed and moisture-proof, mechanical protection and other measures. The terminal and joint of 6kV~20kV power cable should take effective measures to improve the electric field concentration at the shielded end of the cable, and ensure the distance between the outer insulation and the ground.

3. When the cable core is connected, oil and oxide layer should be removed from the inner wall of the cable core and connecting pipe. The crimping die should match the fixture. The compression ratio should meet the requirements. After crimping, the convex mark on the terminal or connecting pipe should be repaired smoothly without residual burr.

4. The metal shielding layer (or metal sleeve) and armored layer of the cable on both sides of the three-core power cable joint should be well connected without interruption, and the cross section area of the jumper cable should not be less than the value specified in the table below. The metal shell of the directly buried cable joint and the metal protective layer of the cable should be treated with anti-corrosion.

5. The metal armored layer at the end of the three-core power cable should be well connected, and each phase of the plastic cable should be copper shielded and steel armored tin welding ground wire. When the cable passes through the zero-sequence current transformer, the cable metal cover and ground cable should be insulated from the ground. When the cable ground point is below the transformer, the ground cable should be directly grounded; when the cable ground point is above the transformer, the ground cable should pass back through the transformer to the ground. The metal cover grounding of the single-core power cable should meet the requirements of the design document.

6. When assembling and combining cable terminals and joints, leakage, moisture-proof and sealing measures should be taken for the coordination or lap of various parts.

7. Plastic cable should use self-adhesive tape, adhesive tape, adhesive (hot melt adhesive) and other ways to seal, plastic jacket surface should be wool, adhesive surface application of solvent to remove oil and good adhesion.

8. There should be obvious phase color mark on the cable terminal, and it should be consistent with the phase of the system. Phase color tape should be wrapped on both sides of the middle joint of the single core cable, and phase color sign should be installed.
