The difference between cold shrinkable cable accessories and heat shrinkable cable accessories

Heat shrinkable cable accessories: generally made of polyethylene, ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) and ethylene-propylene rubber and other materials.

Cold shrinkable cable accessories: the use of elastomer materials (commonly used silicone rubber and ethylene propylene rubber) in the factory injection vulcanization molding, and then through expanding, lined with plastic spiral support to form a variety of cable accessories parts.

The selection criteria

Heat shrinkable cable accessories mainly use stress tube to deal with electrical stress concentration. Cold shrinkage stress control tubes are commonly used now, with voltages ranging from 10kV to 35kV. Cold contraction cable joint, 1kV grade adopts cold contraction insulation pipe as enhanced insulation, 10kV grade adopts cold contraction insulation joint with inner and outer semi-conductive shielding layer. The terminal bifurcation of three-core cable adopts cold shrink branch sleeve.
