Dry pack cable termination and heat shrinkable cable termination

Dry-wrap cable terminaltion are made of high-voltage self-adhesive adhesive cloth and electrical adhesive cloth winding. They are mostly used for temporary power cables. If the single-core section of a cable is less than 70mm2, dry-wrap cable termination can be used.

The heat shrinkable cable termination means that the cable end where the cable connector is needed is covered with a special heat shrinkable cable termination, and then each core cable is connected, and then the heat shrinkable termination jacket is set to the joint position, and the heat shrinkable tube at the joint position is heated by blowtorch or other heating equipment, so that the heat shrinkable cable termination is covered on the cable and the cable termination is formed.

The Dry-wrap cable terminaltion is not as waterproof, durable, and beautiful as the heat shrinkable cable termination. Its application scope is limited to the cable with a single core diameter less than or equal to 70mm2. It can only be laid openly, not buried, and has poor safety performance. But there is an advantage, is low cost, convenient construction.

The advantages of heat shrinkable cable termination are obvious. According to the requirements of different working environments, different materials can be used for heat shrinkable cable termination, which has excellent water resistance, anti-beating and sealing performance. It has a wide range of application, but the cost is high.
