Overview

This is general requirements for installation of 100kV Single Core corrugated aluminum sheath XLPE Composite Cable Termination Kit. The installation of 110kV cable accessories can only be carried out on the basis of confirming the cable safety and qualification.Installation personnel must be trained strictly in cable accessories installation technology, and have some experience in cable accessories installation technology.

Installation Conditions

1.Climatic conditions
The installation of Composite Cable Termination should not be carried out in thunderstorm days, but should be carried out under the conditions of wind force not more than level 4, environmental humidity not more than 70%, and temperature above 0℃ and below 30℃. The site shall be protected from dust and rain. Otherwise, improvement measures should be taken. In hot weather, there should be good ventilation and cooling measures.

2.Work conditions
The installation of Composite Cable Termination should be carried out in a clean and clean construction environment. Generally, a workshop should be built for isolation, and appropriate measures should be taken to purify the construction environment and control the cleanliness of the construction site. Cable terminal construction should be constructed with construction scaffolding, and the construction scaffolding should be separated from the cable terminal fixed shelf. Special installation tools must be available.

Cautions

1. Fire prevention and safety measures should be taken at the construction site. Danger areas should be clearly marked.

4. The allowable bending radius of the cable shall be 20 times of the outer diameter (D) of the cable sheath.

5. The end of the cable must be vertical.

6. Pay attention to prevent the contraction of PVC sheath, corrugated aluminum sheath and cable insulation.

7. Important parts, especially stress cone, composite casing, O-ring, and pad surface should not cause scratches. Components should fit well with each other.
