Heat Shrinkable Rainshed are tubular enclosures made of a heat-shrinkable polyethylene material. When heated, the material shrinks to form a tight, waterproof seal around cables, wire harnesses or other items that need environmental protection from rain, moisture and weather.

The Heat Shrinkable Rainshed consist of a polyethylene jacket that has been crosslinked to hold memory of its expanded size and shape. When heated with a heat gun, the entire tube shrinks in diameter up to 1/2 of its original size. This creates a tight barrier around the item inside. Heat shrinkable rainsheds are available in sizes to fit around anything from small wire bundles up to large cables, pipes, hoses, and more. Heat Shrinkable Rainshed can be cut to the exact length needed for the application. Adhesive-lined sheds also provide a superior seal.

To install, slide Heat Shrinkable Rainshed over the items needing protection. Apply heat with a heat gun while gently tugging on the shed. Continue heating and pulling until it has shrunk tightly into place. For the best seal, apply heat evenly to the entire surface of the shed.

Once installed and cooled, the shed forms a durable, flexible enclosure that is waterproof and weather-resistant. It protects against rain, snow, moisture, UV radiation, dirt, chemicals, and temperature extremes. Properly installed sheds can last many years.
