Heat shrinkable termination kits provide everything needed to insulate and seal the ends of wires, cables, tubing and other items. They contain heat shrinkable tubing, sealants, solders and tools for installation. The main components are heat shrink tubing made of polyethylene, polyolefin or crosslinked polyolefin that shrink in diameter when heated to form a tight seal. Adhesive sealant or solder provides an airtight, moisture-proof bond.

To use the Heat Shrinkable Termination kits, cut the heat shrink tubing to size for the application. Slide over the end of the wire, cable or other item. Apply sealant or solder if needed. Use a heat gun to evenly heat the tubing which causes it to shrink in size, shaping tightly to the contour of the item.As it is heated, the tubing shrinks up to 1/2 its original diameter.
